Indeed, in many questions of Clinical, Epidemiology or Hygiene, inexplicable by Bacteriology, Natural History shows an animal or a parasitic fungus whose origin, metamorphosis, ways of penetration and modes of action it reveals. Tanto ha avanzado en nuestros días la "Nosología humana" y tanto ha beneficiado en sus progresos de las conquistas de la Biología general y de su afín la "Zooparasitologia", que puede afirmarse con Brumpt se ha vuelto esta la llave de la Medicina, y con Blanchard que la Etiología morbosa como la Profilaxis pueden decirse cuestiones de Zoología pura. Efectivamente, en muchas cuestiones de Clínica, de Epidemiología o de Higiene, inexplicables por la Bacteriología, la Historia Natural muestra un animal o un hongo parásitos cuya procedencia, metamórfosis, vías de penetración y modos de obrar ella revela.
