The former deny that it is a new logic at all, and the latter that it is genuinely scholastic. This is the reason why it is not recommended for our ecclesiastical seminaries. the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries is not recommended for our ecclesiastical seminaries, since they profess a renewal of the the renewal and even modernization of scholasticism is professed in them. Certainly, there still exist neo-scholastic logicians -their number is tenaciously decreasing- who believe and preach that their neo-scholastic logic cannot be surpassed by any modern philosophy; and that certainly it cannot even be presented, if this modern logic is corrupted with positivism. Nuestra Lógica neo escolástica ha tomado una posición gue necesariamente desafía a la crítica no sólo de los lógicos modernos, sino también de los escolásticos versados en la historia de sus propias tradiciones. Los primeros niegan que ésta sea, en absoluto, una lógica nueva y los otros que sea genuinamente escolástica. Tal es el motivo por el que no se aconseja para nuestros seminarios eclesiásticos este expediente de los siglos XVII-XVIII, ya que en ellos se profesa una renovación y hasta una modernización de la escolástica. Por cierto aún existen lógicos neo escolásticos -su número desciende tenazmente- quienes creen y predican que su lógica neo escolástica no puede ser superada por ninguna filosofía moderna; y que por cierto ni siquiera se la puede presentar, si ésta lógica moderna está corrompida con positivismo.
