To do this, from the medical records existing at the date of initiation of this work (March 1943) we have taken only those with clinical data, analyzes and tests in sufficient number to make the nosological, differential and etiological diagnoses valid, considering only the cases of asthma and rhinitis, associated or not with other allergic manifestations. Cases of hives, migraine, itching; Qnincke's edema, etc., which had not concomitantly presented asthma or rhinitis, were not taken into account. Con el objeto de determinar con qué frecuencia los extractos de polen utilizados en el Centro de Alergia de la Facultad dan reacciones positivas, reunimos para su estudio 453 fichas de enfermos asistidos en dicho Servicio. Para ello, de las historias clínicas existentes a la fecha de iniciación de este trabajo (marzo de 1943) hemos tomado solamente, áquellas con datos clínicos, análisis y tests en número snficiente para hacer valederos los diagnósticos nosológico, diferencial y etiológico, considerando sólo los casos de asma y de rinitis, asociados o no a otras manifestaciones alérgicas. Los casos de urticaria, jaqueca, pruritos; edema de Qnincke, etc, que no hubíesen presentado concomitantemente asma o rinitís no se han tenido en cuenta.
