Sumario:This work does not pretend to be an "exercise in reverse" with the purpose of "rescuing the voice of the other" -the Guarani indigenous- but seeks to detect and analyze in the Jesuit discourse, moments of conjugation of collections, of selective and creative appropriation of expressions of the Guarani indigenous culture and of the Christian-western culture. In this sense, it aims to contribute to the reflection on the richness of the processes involved in situations of contact between different cultures, taking into account that the usual notions of resistance or acculturation do not include the extreme complexity of the processes and results involved.
