In this sense, it aims to contribute to the reflection on the richness of the processes involved in situations of contact between different cultures, taking into account that the usual notions of resistance or acculturation do not include the extreme complexity of the processes and results involved. Este trabajo no pretende constituirse en un «ejercicio al revés» con la finalidad de «rescatar la voz del otro» –el indígena guaraní– sino que busca detectar y analizar en el discurso jesuítico, momentos de conjugación de acervos, de apropiación selectiva y creativa de expresiones de la cultura indígena guaraní y de la cultura cristiana-occidental. En este sentido, tiene como objetivo contribuir a la reflexión acerca de la riqueza de los procesos involucrados en las situaciones de contacto entre culturas diferentes, teniendo en cuenta que las nociones usuales de resistencia o de aculturación no comportan la extrema complejidad de los procesos y resultados implicados.
