Córdoba, fines del siglo XVIII Rufer, Mario This work is born from the conception of a double approach: to investigate the contributions of the judicial source to social history on the one hand, and to shed some light on the life of slaves in Cordoba in the eighteenth century on the other. The objectives of this article are focused on trying to make an interweaving between the Hispanic legislation regarding the treatment and the economy of the correction of slaves in the domains of the colonial empire, and the judicial practices that in fact were framed in the Cordovan context of the late eighteenth century. In the development of this work we will try to identify the existence of a daily and private violence that was part of the disciplinary actions of the slave masters, and to see the particular performance of society and the administrative apparatus in these situations. On the other hand, we will try to demonstrate the need to broaden the view of the regulations of the colonial social order to the spheres more peripheral to the legal order. Este trabajo nace de la concepción de un doble planteo: indagar sobre los aportes de la fuente judicial a la historia social por un lado, y poder echar algo de luz sobre la vida de los esclavos cordobeses en el siglo XVIII por otro. Los objetivos de este artículo se centran en tratar de hacer un entrecruzamiento entre la legislación hispánica con respecto al trato y a la economía de la corrección de los esclavos en los dominios del imperio colonial, y las prácticas judiciales que en efecto se enmarcaban en el contexto cordobés de fines delsiglo XVIII. En el desarrollo de este trabajo trataremos de identificar la existencia de una violencia cotidiana y privada que era parte de las acciones disciplinarias de los amos de esclavos, y ver la actuación particular de la sociedad y del aparato administrativo ante estas situaciones. Por otro lado, intentaremos demostrar la necesidad de ampliar la mirada de las regulaciones del orden social colonial hacia los ámbitos más periféricos al orden jurídico.
