According to the testimonies of the victims of these practices, a significant number of the complaints and denunciations were encouraged by low and high-ranking provincial officials, by police commanders and, especially, by the newspaper El Sol, in its two editions of Catamarca and La Rioja. Our intention is to recover some of the articles and editorials that, in the provincial written press, justified these acts and to assess, in addition, the role that they could play in the deployment of the repressive apparatus of the dictatorship at the local level. En este trabajo nos proponemos describir y analizar un conjunto de denuncias y delaciones contra “la corrupción, la inmoralidad y la subversión” que se realizaron en la territorialidad catamarqueña luego del golpe de Estado del 24 de marzo de 1976. De acuerdo a los testimonios de las víctimas de estas prácticas, un significativo número de las denuncias y delaciones fueron incentivadas por funcionarios provinciales de bajo y alto rango, por mandos policiales y, en especial, por el diario El Sol, en sus dos ediciones de Catamarca y de La Rioja. Nuestra intención es recuperar algunos de los artículos y editoriales que, en la prensa escrita provincial, justificaron estos actos y valorar, además, el rol que pudieron cumplir en el despliegue del aparato represivo de la dictadura en el ámbito local.
