| Sumario: | In the first instance, this paper raises the question of the analysis of the 19th century from a regional perspective. This methodological exercise focuses specifically on the Argentinean case during the 19th century, and then deals with the conformation of the central-southern area of Santa Fe. With respect to the study of regional spaces, he identifies two proposals for analysis, one that emphasises economic aspects and the other that focuses on the social structure. Without dismissing the former, he favours the latter because it allows the economic, socio-political and institutional reality of a region to be recovered in all its complexity. |
