The stories maintain that Garay elaborated the political ideology that the men of the twentieth century were concretizing in their policy management, identified the meaning of national history that culminated with the Colorado party as government and created the historical doctrine of nationalist revisionism. Este artículo analiza como la figura del historiador Blas Garay sufrió un proceso de coloradización entre 1940 y 1970, siendo transformado en un referente intelectual del partido Colorado del Paraguay. Las alusiones a su “coloradismo” se inician en 1942 con Natalicio González y en la década del 70 con el Instituto Colorado de Cultura. Los relatos sostienen que Garay elaboró el ideario político que los hombres del siglo XX estaban concretando en su gestión política, identificó el sentido de la historia nacional que culminaba con el partido colorado como gobierno y creó la doctrina histórica del revisionismo nacionalista.
