| Sumario: | In this paper we touch on various uses of the past and practices of political legitimation during the last military dictatorship in the province of Formosa. At first, we analyze the grounds of Decree 3138 / 77 that changed the names of eighty – six towns inside the provincial territory. Next, we characterize and call into question the images and meanings of the past that took place during the commemoration of the centenary of the founding of the city of Formosa. Finally, we deal with the views on the province, held by various local intellectuals in the Frontera magazine, published between 1982 and 1983. |
