Sumario:This work will address the ailments that afflicted children in the late Castilian Middle Ages. Undoubtedly, the vision that the family environment had, and especially the mothers, of the children's body, of the processes that occurred in it, differs remarkably from what we can have today. In a theocentric society, like that of the Castilian Middle Ages, most of the times divine intervention was appealed to to overcome these misfortunes. This also shows that one of the greatest ills that affected children's lives were diseases.
