"Stop believing that we lack history": State and intellectuals in the construction of the official historiography of Chubut (1958-1968)

Such narration of Chubut’s past played a key role in the organization of the provincial State, as it centred around the actions of groups considered as “agents of civilization”: the welsh settlers, the Salesian priests, and the Spanish colonial settlements, thus negating the agency of the indigenous peoples of Chubut.
