La hipótesis central es que ambas escrituras producen tres fenómenos concurrentes al realizar la crítica del colonialismo: la agencia, y en ella un proceso de des-subjetivación, la delimitación del cuerpo colonial a partir de su ausencia en órdenes del discurso bien precisos y la ausencia de lo humano como marca de una singularidad.
