Ricca, Guillermo  Resumen: Este artículo indaga sobre la ruptura o continuidad entre revolución y democracia en la práctica discursiva pública de José Aricó. La pregunta que guía nuestra investigación remite a los alcances del diagnostico trazado a comienzos de la década del ochenta por Norbert Lechner: la revolución como eje articulador de los debates en los años sesenta y su desplazamiento por el interrogante en torno a la democracia en los años ochenta. Interesa matizar ese diagnóstico desde perspectivas que no renuncian al ideario socialista, toda vez que el sentido de democracia no se identifica para Aricó con su versión liberal. Palabras clave: revolución-democracia-hegemonía-cultura política Abstract:This paper  explores the rupture or continuity between revolution and democracy in the public discursive practice of Jose Arico. The question that guides our research refers to the scope of thediagnostic tracing in the early eighties by Norbert Lechner: the revolution as articulator axis of the debates in the sixties and its displacement by the question about democracy in the yearseighties. Refine the diagnosis from interested prospects who do notrenounce the socialist ideology, since the meaning of democracy is not identical to Aricó with its liberal version.
