Three times he asked to be sent to the Indies and while he was finishing his studies in Cordoba, waiting for his longed-for destination with the Indians, he wrote an account of the state of the province. He sent it to his former superior in Italy, fulfilling the promise he had made when he left, that of giving news of his destination, so that he could share it with his companions at the college in Milan. We present this valuable unpublished document with the aim of adding new sources for the history of the Jesuit missions in a region that involves the past of a time with notable particularities.
