After residing in various schools in Andalusia, he requested resignation, and was dismissed from the Society in 1628, but continued to live in Seville, where he died in 1650. He wrote a book with his odyssey, whose publication was managed by his mother in 1610, and it was distributed in Europe (where some translations were published) and America, but the original edition is practically unknown, until a copy was discovered at the University of Mannheim, with which the work was republished in 2023. It is a book listed as very rare Pedro Gobeo de Vitoria, sevillano de 13 años, se había embarcado en Cádiz para América en 1593, con ansias de hacerse rico con el oro de Perú. Después de muchas peripecias y padecimientos, llegó a Lima tras recorrer 840 km de la costa de Las Esmeraldas. Se hizo jesuita y 15 años después volvió a España, donde se mostró inadaptado. Después de residir en diversos colegios de Andalucía, pidió las dimisorias, y fue despedido de la Compañía en 1628, pero siguió viviendo en Sevilla, donde murió en 1650. Escribió un libro con su odisea, cuya publicación fue gestionada por su madre en 1610, y tuvo difusión en Europa (donde se publicaron algunas traducciones) y América, pero la edición original prácticamente es desconocida, hasta que ha sido descubierto un ejemplar en la universidad de Mannheim, con el cual la obra ha sido reeditada en 2023. Es un libro catalogado como muy raro.
