Although there are mentions that they were repeated in various places, the information we have, although scarce, is about what happened specifically in the Jesuit college of Asunción. However, we demonstrate that the variety of representations, especially the para-dramatization that is carried out, is consistent with the manifestations of the baroque festivity spread throughout the Catholic world with the natural regional syncretism. En este trabajo analizamos la aportación de la fiesta barroca en las celebraciones por la canonización del fundador de la Compañía de Jesús en la provincia más austral de América. Si bien hay menciones que las mismas se repitieron en diversos sitios, la información con que contamos, aunque escasa, es sobre lo acontecido específicamente en el colegio jesuítico de Asunción. No obstante, demostramos que la variedad de representaciones, sobre todo la parateatralización que se realiza, es concordante a las manifestaciones propias de la festividad barroca extendida por todo el mundo católico con el natural sincretismo regional.
