In addition, the paleographic transcription of said historical document is carried out, to know the educational, ministerial and missionary tasks, as well as the most important events that occurred in 1647 among the inhabitants of Mérida in the Yucatán province of New Spain and were communicated by the Ignatian community of Mérida to the superiors of the order. Thus, the superiors and other members of the Society of Jesus were kept informed about the daily activities carried out each year, in each center, house, residence or mission, the Jesuit priests in the confines of the New Spain world. Este ensayo analiza los elementos extrínsecos (físicos o estructurales) y los caracteres intrínsecos (partes sustantivas o de sustancia) referentes al contenido de las cartas o letras anuas de la Compañía de Jesús. Además, se realiza la transcripción paleográfica de dicho documento histórico, para conocer las labores educativas, ministeriales y misioneras, así como los sucesos más importantes que en 1647 ocurrieron entre los pobladores de Mérida en la provincia de Yucatán de la Nueva España y, fueron comunicados por la comunidad ignaciana de Mérida a los superiores de la orden. Así, los superiores y demás miembros de la Compañía de Jesús se mantenían informados sobre las actividades cotidianas que realizaban cada año, en cada centro, casa, residencia o misión, los sacerdotes jesuitas en los confines del orbe novohispano.
