Adopting the double perspective of disability studies (to consider the representation of infirmity) and affect studies (to assess the interaction between the characters, or “in-between-ness”), the analysis aims to throw light on the disability stereotypes which typically emerge in film adaptations of the novel. Esta contribución se centra en el análisis del personaje de Tiny Tim del texto de Dickens A Christmas Carol y su representación en tres películas de la posguerra: la película británica Scrooge (1951), la española Leyenda de Navidad (1947) y la italiana Nunca es demasiado tarde (1953). El análisis está realizado desde una doble perspectiva que atiende a los “disability studies” (con respecto a la representación de la enfermedad) y de “affect studies” (en referencia a la interacción entre los sujetos o in-between-ness) perspectiva que ayudará a arrojar luz sobre la perspectiva estereotipada  de la discapacidad que se advierte en las transposiciones fílmicas del relato. Il presente contributo intende soffermarsi sul personaggio di Tiny Tim del dickensiano A Christmas Carol per esaminare come sia stato rappresentato in tre film realizzati nel secondo dopoguerra: il britannico Scrooge (1951), lo spagnolo Leyenda de Navidad (1947) e l’italiano Non è mai troppo tardi (1953). L’analisi, condotta dalla doppia prospettiva dei disability studies (per quanto riguarda la rappresentazione dell’infermità) e degli affect studies (in riferimento all’interazione tra i soggetti o in-between-ness), contribuirà a fare luce sulla stereotipizzazione della disabilità che emerge nelle trasposizioni filmiche della novella.
