Brilha como vida, by Maria Grazia Calandrone, and An exhibition, by Ieda Magri, were written in different cultural spaces, Italy and Brazil, respectively, but have some points of contact. The focus is on the initial moment of reading and on the elements chosen by the two writers to start their plots. In these pages, there is a need for searching, for returning, for those who speak to give form to what can only be presented as unfinished, which prevents a linear form. Then, for the construction of these narrative plots, images and family photos, other people's voices, fragmented memories and other elements that make up the scene of the “human theater” come into play. Este ensayo tiene como objetivo analizar comparativamente dos libros publicados en 2021, es decir, aún en el período de la pandemia, que retratan búsquedas y retornos de los protagonistas autobiográficos. Brilha como vida de Maria Grazia Calandrone y Uma exposición de Ieda Magri fueron escritas en diferentes espacios culturales, Italia y Brasil, respectivamente, pero que tienen algunos puntos de contacto. La atención se centra en el momento inicial de la lectura y en los elementos elegidos por los dos escritores para iniciar sus tramas. En estas páginas hay una necesidad de búsqueda, de retorno, de quienes hablan para dar forma a lo que solo puede presentarse desde la esfera de lo inacabado, no pudiendo así tener una forma lineal. Entonces, para la construcción de estas tramas narrativas, entran en juego imágenes y fotos familiares, voces ajenas, memorias carcomidas y otros elementos que componen la escena del “teatro humano”. O presente ensaio tem como objetivo colocar lado a lado dois livros publicados em 2021, ou seja, ainda no período da pandemia, que retratam buscas e retornos das personagens protagonistas autobiográficas. Brilha como vida de Maria Grazia Calandrone e Uma exposição de Ieda Magri foram escritos em diferentes espaços culturais, Itália e Brasil, respectivamente, mas que apresentam alguns pontos de contato. O foco se concentra no momento inicial de leitura e nos elementos escolhidos pelas duas escritoras para iniciar suas tramas. Há nestas páginas necessidade de busca, de retorno, de quem fala dar forma à aquilo que só pode se apresentar a partir da esfera do inacabado, não podendo assim ter uma forma linear. Entram em cena, então, para a construção dessas tramas narrativas imagens e fotos de família, vozes de outras pessoas, lembranças carcomidas e outros elementos que compõem a cena do “teatro humano”.
