By means of the concepts of mobility and border, according to their definition for different disciplines, my aim here is to analyze the movements implied in crossing the limits between epistemologies, psychological states and places, as well as the way in which certain spaces are constructed as borders in the novels, such as the the sea, the train or the home, and the ambiguity implied in this construction. Although present in both texts, mobility stands out in The Book of Evidence, while border crossing is an essential characteristic in Glaxo. Put briefly, in the novels there occur material and symbolic movements that establish, articulate and cross cultural borders. The constant crossing of borderlines exhibits their fluidity and produces changes in the social order as well as in the individuals. Espacios de narración y tiempos de publicación distantes no impiden observar otros notables aspectos compartidos por las novelas El libro de las pruebas (1989) de J. Banville y Glaxo de H. Ronsino (2009): contextos socio-históricos marcados por la violencia, un crimen cometido a sangre fría, movimientos y cruces de fronteras. Haciendo uso de los conceptos de frontera y movilidad según sus definiciones para distintas disciplinas, me propongo analizar los desplazamientos que conllevan el cruce de límites entre epistemologías, estados de ánimo, lugares y países, así como también la construcción de fronteras en las obras—el tren, el mar, el hogar, por ejemplo—y la ambigüedad que frecuentemente conlleva esta construcción. En El li bro de las pruebas, se destaca la movilidad, retratada esta en los múltiples escenarios donde transcurre la trama. En Glaxo, en cambio, el énfasis se puede encontrar en las fronteras simbólicas, ya que los desplazamientos, aunque significativos, son mínimos. Puesto brevemente, en las novelas se observan movimientos materiales y simbólicos que establecen, articulan y atraviesan fronteras culturales. El constante cruce y desdibujamiento de éstas pone de relieve su fluidez y produce como consecuencia cambios en el orden social y en los personajes.
