Through careful reconstruction of the facts, in particular of the numerous contradictory behaviours of the Egyptian authorities, the State's responsibility is sustained in the death of the young investigator. Furthermore, is supposed as this conduct can constitutes an international illicit that, in light of the jurisprudence of the International Criminal Court for the former Yugoslavia, may represent a crime against humanity. In conclusion, some tools that the Italian State or the Regeni’s family can use to solve the case are examined. Este artículo aborda la delicada cuestión del uso sistemático de la desaparición forzada en la realidad egipcia actual y cómo Giulio Regeni, un joven investigador italiano, fue víctima de esta política de represión de los derechos humanos. Mediante una cuidadosa reconstrucción de los hechos, en particular de los numerosos comportamientos contradictorios de las autoridades egipcias, se sostiene la responsabilidad del Estado en la muerte del joven investigador y cómo esta conducta constituye un ilícito internacional que, a la luz de la jurisprudencia de la Corte Penal Internacional para el ex Yugoslavia, puede representar un crimen de lesa humanidad. En conclusión, se examinan algunas herramientas que puede ejercer el Estado italiano o la familia Regeni para solucionar el caso Facultad de Derecho.
