Tooth Extraction Surgery, Oral Case Studies Extracción Dental Cirugía Bucal Estudios de casos The extration of teeth with iroportant anomalies, situated clase to vital estructure or strongly rooter poses a difficult problem to surgeans, In arder to preserve the underlyng bone and to lessen trauma odontosection was tried out. 120 cases were studied, divided in 4 groups of 30 each, thus distributed: A. - Horizontal o médially angulated retined inferior 3rd. molars rooted to the distal aspect of the second molars: B. -Inferior and superar retained incisives, canmes and premola¡rs whichcould not be located in the arcades by means of orthodontia or surg~<ja] orthodontica liberations. C. - and D. -: Ist. and 2nd. superior molars and list., 2nd. and 3rd. inferior molars weth similar indications for odontosection. Al cases were stud!ed radiologically in arder to establish the real indications for this therapy. A nurnber 560 refrigerated cilindrical burs was used for sectioning; x-ray control of the cutting was carried out leaving the burs in place or removing it. The extra space created by the cutting sirnplified the positioning and handling of the elevator. The lenglh of the proc:iedure was shortened; The handiwork are simplifie. Pulling individual roots eas laborious and less traumatic then removing multiradiculal pieces. Healing supervened fasted. Therefore, the odontosection es a means of greats value that we must considet.· Ln the daily practice. La exodoncia de elementos dentarios con importantes anomalías, proXllllos a eJo.tructuras vitales o con fuertes anclajes, plantean un problema para la cirujía. L:1 conservación del hueso subyacente motivó nuestra elección de la técnica de Odontosección para estudiar posibilidades de un menor trauma. Se estudiaron 120 casos repartidos en cuatro grupos a saber: A. -Terceros molares inferiores retenidos en posición horizontál y en pos1c10n mesioangular anclados en la cara distal del segundo molar (30 casos). B. -Incisivos, carrinos y premolares retenidos superiores e inferiores que no podían ubicarse en la arcada dentaria por medio de recursos Ortodónci. cos, o liberación quirúrgica y Ortodoncia, ( 30 casos). C. -Primeros y segundos molares superiores normalmente implantados que presentabanindicaciones precisas de Odontosección ( 30 casos). D . - Primeros, segundos y terceros molares inferiores normalmente implantados que presentaban indicaciones precisas de Odontosecci'ón, ( 30 casos). Fueron estudiados radiográficamente todos los casos para determinar la indicación de la técnica. Se realizó sección con fresa cilíndrica refrigerada NQ 560. Se hizo el "control radiográfico de corte" con la fresa colocada "in sito o no". Se disminuyó el tiempo de trabajo al. crear un espacio con la fr.esa en el corte, que facilitó la ubicación del elevador y su acciqn posterimj. Al transformar elementos multinadiculares en uninadiculares, se simplificanlas maniobras y el esfuerzo del operador es menor. El trauma se disrillnuye y la cicatrización es un recurso de alto valor que debemos tener en cuenta en la práctica diaria.
