With this technique, we can resolve efficiently the multiple problerns or inconveniences which corn up when rernoving a -éooth "intato''; teeth with root anomalies, partially or cornpletely irnpacted teeh and when faced with dilierent bone contour collformations. These procedures rninimize the possibility ~f accidents and cornplications which may arise during an extraction. Fifty five standarized extractions were practiced by odontosection using a conventional drill fitted with diarnond stones or tungsten carbide burs, It was thus possible to prove the feasibility of a surgical procedure which, with only sorne exceptiom:, can be performed by the general practitioner whó has had sorne surgical experience. It is therefore worthwhHe that the general practitioner becorne acquainted and practice this technique to solve the rnultiple problerns found removing teeth in toto. vVe can state, that according to our experience, this surgical procedure is simple, atraumatict e:egant, and productive, as long as it is performed within the requirements established by general surgical techniques, and the specific techniques refered to in this work. El propósito .de este trabajo es poner al alcance del Odontólogo que hace práctic_§l. ,ge11era~ o integral, una técnica quirúrgica sencilla,la Odont?sección. Con ella poélrá resolver con suficiencia los múltiples problemas e inconvenientes que se le presentan frente a unaextracción dentaria in toto, en dientes con anomalías radiculares, en rebordes de distinta conformación, y así también en dientes retenidastotal o parcialmente, disminuyendo de esa-manera las posibilidades de accidentes y complicaciones de la misma. Empleando el torno convencional, para accionar piedras de diamante o fresas de carbono tungsteno, se han reaUzado con una técnica bien reglada cincuenta y cinco extrá.ccici,hes por Odonteseccióri. Se ha conseguido determinar así la factibilidad de un acto operatorio que salvo excepciones, está al alcance .del Odontólogo General, con algún entrenamiento quirúrgico, que debe conocerlo o practicarlo, para solucionar los múltiple:> inconvenientes que crea la exodoncia in toto. Podemos decir, de acuerdo con nuestra experiencia, que este acto quirúrgico resulta sencillo, atraumático, elegante y productivo, siempre que se realice bajo los requisitos que ~arcan las normas que esta"Mece la técnica quirúrgica general y la especial referida a esta intervención.
