It was daily applied during 15 minutes at -lO?C. Phlogistic answer to DMBA appearead augmented on the 5th and 8th day because of stress effect. Induction times for neoplasias in both groups were similar. Frequencyof percentages in group 2 differs from that of group l. Dl\-!BA: lOO% on the 20th day in control rats. DMBA and stress: lOO % on the 15th day. Histologic findings ( adenocarcinomas, epidem1oid carcinomas) and histochemical characterizations were similar in both groups Se estudia la influencia del estres, en patología oncológica experimental, inducida por DMBA ( 1-2 dimetil 9-10 bencentracene) en glándulas salivales de rata \Vistar. Se utilizaron 2 grupos de 24 animales cada uno. Grupo 1: DMBA aplicado en forma de pellet. Grupo 2: DMBA y estres. Como agente estresor se empleó el frío, en una sola aplicación diaria de 15 minutos a -109 C.La respuesta flogística al DMBA, a los 5 y 8 días por. el efecto del estres, se presentó aumentada. No se observaron cambios en los tiempos de inducción para las neoplasias, pero sí en la frecuencia de los porcentajés (que aparecen en plazos menores). Testigos con DMBA: frecuencia 100 % de las neoplasias a los 20 días. DMBA y estres: frecuencia 100% de las neoplasias a los 15 días. Los detalles histológicos (adenocarcinomas - carcinomas epidermoides) y las características histoquímicas; fueron similares en ambos grupos.
