The operations were carried out on young patients by trasplanting the not fully formed third moiar to the place of the first molar, following the technique described in the text. The success of a vital dental autotransplant depends on sorne factors: the tooth to be transplanted shou1d have ccmp1eted the ame 1 ogenesi s so that two thi rds oL i ts root and the fl oor of the pulp chamber are also formed; the receiving alveolus must be prepared before the giving area. thus reduncing the time in which the third molar remains dislocated out of its alveolus and the lack of  communicatior. between.the two surgica1 beds Se seleccionaron diez casos de trasplantes dentarios de la casuística de los autores, los cuales resultaron exitosos de acuerdo con los factores que ellos juzgan importantes.
