Sumario:Ricketts described the arcial growth in 1971, and this way he is co!!.firming bis theory that the mandible grows in the form of an arch. The prediction of this grows may be referred to, over three years as "long term ". The mandible independiently, allows to predict and schematize the pacient face till the end of the growth, either with o without treatment. We think his findings are a great contribution for the diagnosis, prognostic and treatment plan of our orthodontics patients.
