In this monograph we show sorne criterion we consider fundamental for its practica! aplication Ricketts describe el crecimiento arquial en 1971 confirmando posteriormente su teoría de que la mandíbula crece en forma de arco. -La predicción de este crecimiento puede referirse más allá de los 3 años llamándose a "largo plazo". La mandíbula independientemente se puede predecir y esquematizar la cara del paciente hasta el final del crecimiento ya sea sin tratamiento o con tratamiento. Creemos que sus trabajos son un gran aporte para el diagnóstico, pronóstico y plan de tratamiento de nuestros pacientes ortodóncicos.
