This paper analyzes the vulnerability of the main political parties in Mexico and their impact on competitiveness, which will be tested in the upcoming legislative elections in June 2021. To meet this objective, the recent elections of 2018 are analyzed, in light of the post-94 democratic electoral process and the essential features of said political evolution. Collaterally, attention is paid to current changes in the party system, to participation and to new models of party organizations. La vulnerabilidad política es un indicador clave de la estabilidad y el riesgo potencial de una democracia. Gobiernos invulnerables tienen como contrapartida oposiciones débiles. En este trabajo se analiza la vulnerabilidad de los principales partidos políticos en México y su impacto sobre la competitividad, que se pondrá a prueba en las proximas elecciones legislativas de junio 2021. Para atender este objetivo se analizan las recientes elecciones de 2018, a la luz del proceso electoral democrático post-94 y a los rasgos esenciales de dicha evolución política. De modo colateral se presta atención a cambios actuales en el sistema de partidos, a la participación y a nuevos modelos de las organizaciones partidarias.
