We wonder about the possibility of making architectural criticism viable by placing the image at the center of the scene and paying special attention to the social level. In this direction we maintain that the image, in addition to an aesthetic category, is an interesting critical device from which it is viable to build/constitute a reader and skillful co-producer of the project. This is where our invitation arises to reflect on the image of architecture or about architecture as an image, from which we also ask ourselves about the role of the reader as co-producer of the project. En el presente ensayo, nos concentramos en el problema de la imagen rescatando su carácter estético y político. Situados en el marco de la práctica proyectual, nos preguntamos sobre la posibilidad de viabilizar la crítica arquitectónica ubicando a la imagen en el centro de la escena y poniendo especial atención en el plano de lo social. En esta dirección, sostenemos que la imagen, además de una categoría estética, es un interesante dispositivo crítico desde el cual es viable construir/constituir un lector y hábil coproductor del proyecto. Es allí donde surge nuestra invitación a reflexionar sobre la imagen de la arquitectura o acerca de la arquitectura como imagen, a partir de lo cual nos preguntamos también sobre el rol del lector como coproductor del proyecto.
