In relation to this, it explains the processes of growth, decrease; urban configurations and reconfigurations as a result of multiple ideations, actions and political, economic, social and cultural decisions. Both the choice of the case (southwest periphery) and the temporal delimitation (1985 - 2015) highlight the importance of this territory in each period of time indicated, within the urban ensemble of the city. The time slices correspond to events that, due to their impacts, marked the beginning of new phases of social and urban organization. They defined "moments" in which new spatial configurations were delineated that were superimposed on the previous ones and produced transformations.The first period was set in the year 1985 in the framework of the recent democracy. The second one considers 1989 as the turning point that marked a radical change in the orientation of the national political organization. The third one occurs in 2001 and isdetermined by the profound social crisis. The fourth period considers 2003 as the year of the beginning of a new phase of national organization in which important changes in the national administration were promoted. In relation to this, from methodological aspects, with the material available from the sources consulted and in order to account for the spatial characteristics of the phenomenon, from quantitative aspects, measurements were made that allowed estimates to be made of population growth, urbanization, infrastructure and housing construction.

En relación a ello, se explican los procesos de crecimiento, decrecimiento;configuraciones y reconfiguraciones urbanísticas como resultado de múltiples ideaciones, acciones y decisiones políticas, económicas, sociales y culturales. Tanto la elección del caso como la delimitación temporal ponen de relieve la importancia de este territorio en cada periodo de tiempo y dentro del conjunto urbano de la ciudad. Los cortes temporales se corresponden con acontecimientos que, por sus impactos, marcaron inicios de nuevas fases de organización social y urbanística. Definieronmomentos en los que se delinearon nuevas configuraciones espaciales que se superpusieron a las anteriores y produjeron transformaciones. El primer periodo se fijó en el año 1985 en el marco de la reciente democracia. El segundo considera al año 1989 como el punto de inflexión que marcó un cambio radical en la orientación de la organización política nacional. El tercero se produce en 2001 y está determinado por la profunda crisis social. El cuarto periodo considera al 20031 como el año de inicio de una nueva fase de organización nacional en la que se impulsaron importantes giros en la administración nacional. En relación a ello, desde aspectos metodológicos, con el material disponible de las fuentes consultadas y a los fines de dar cuenta de las características espaciales de fenómeno, desde aspectos cuantitativos se realizaron las mediciones que permitieron hacer estimaciones sobre el crecimiento de población, de la urbanización, infraestructura y construcción de vivienda.
