They do so by disputing the dominant forms of governance of river basins carried out by the "hydrological States" from collective imaginations that point to the hydrocommon; making the archives of contemporary art fluid and refusing any stagnant representation of the region; as well as producing deviations in the foundational narratives that figured from the fluvial their nation imaginaries. Asumiendo el carácter crítico en el que se encuentran las cuencas fluviales y los ecosistemas que las rodean, los textos aquí reunidos buscan formas de pensar-con la materia fluvial, anudando prácticas artísticas, teóricas y militantes. Lo hacen disputando las formas dominantes de gobernanza de las cuencas fluviales llevadas adelante por los “Estados hidrológicos” desde imaginaciones colectivas que apuntan a lo hidrocomún; volviendo fluidos los archivos del arte contemporáneo y recusando con ellos toda representación estanca de la región; así como también produciendo desvíos en las narrativas fundacionales que figuraron desde lo fluvial sus imaginarios de nación.
