Due to this, millions of people are forced to leave their territories haunted by hunger and lack of opportunities.Then there are wars, drug trafficking and the multiple forms of violence. This text aims to think about migrant movements mainly in Latin America and the way in which the languages of contemporary art account for them (fotographs, cinema, installations, performances, popular art). Linked to the Lotmanian concept of Semiosphere, we will take the theoretical category of Border, its discussions and its possibilities of reflection on current problems. El calentamiento global ha desatado una vorágine de altas temperaturas, megasequías, inundaciones catastróficas, ríos contaminados y océanos acidificados. Debido a ello, millones de personas se ven obligadas a abandonar sus territorios acosadas por el hambre y la falta de oportunidades. Además, están las guerras, el narcotráfico y las múltiples formas de la violencia. Este texto se propone reflexionar sobre los desplazamientos de migrantes principalmente en América Latina y el modo en que los lenguajes del arte contemporáneo dan cuenta de ellos (fotografía, cine, instalaciones, performances, arte popular). Vinculada al concepto lotmaniano de Semiosfera, tomaremos la categoría teórica de Frontera, sus discusiones y sus posibilidades de reflexión sobre problemáticas actuales.
