For it we will undertake a genealogy of the conquering sapce’s dreams from the early modernity till our present. The question that opens up, in the frame of liveforms, and forms of inhabit Earth extintions, is if martian utipa via terraforming is feasible and desirable. We will attempt to answer this question from the geology of media (Parikka, 2021) and Donna Haraway’s sympoetic proposal (2019). Keywords: Mars; utopian enclave; technocapitalism; terraformimg En el siguiente trabajo, luego de realizar una búsqueda crítica que le dé nombre al diagnóstico de nuestro tiempo signado por la crisis y el colapso ambiental, intentaremos pensar los sueños de colonización de Marte y el espacio extraterrestre como un enclave utópico (Jameson, 2009) propio de la imaginación tecnocapitalista (o del capitalismo tecnológico). Para ello emprenderemos una genealogía de los sueños de conquista del espacio exterior desde la modernidad temprana hasta la actualidad. La pregunta que se abre, en el marco de las extinciones de formas de vida y modos de habitar la Tierra, es si la utopía marciana mediante la terraformación es viable y deseable. Intentaremos responder a dicho interrogante desde la geología de los medios (Parikaa, 2021) y la propuesta simpoiética de Donna Haraway (2019). Facultad de Filosofía y Humanidades.
