In this sense, a short story and an article by Jorge Luis Borges are analyzed, where the experience of the pause of time appears as the main element. In the case of psychiatry, we analyze the contributions of the so-called phenomenological psychiatrists, who propose a study of psychoses from the point of view of subjective experience. In our case, we are interested in the subjective experience of time and its abolition or detention. Likewise, we expose how psychoanalysis approaches temporality both in Freud and in his Lacan epigone, without forgetting to mention the way in which they explain psychosis from their own theoretical models. All of this is done with the purpose of supporting a question that is of great importance to us: Is the experience of the pause outside of fiction and psychosis possible? El presente trabajo tiene como objeto indagar el modo en que la experiencia de la pausa es elaborada en la ficción, la psiquiatría y el psicoanálisis. En este sentido, se analizan un cuento y un artículo de Jorge Luis Borges en donde la experiencia de la detención del tiempo figura como elemento principal. En el caso de la psiquiatría, se analizan los aportes de los llamados psiquiatras fenomenólogos, quienes proponen un estudio de las psicosis desde el punto de vista de la vivencia subjetiva, En nuestro caso, nos interesa la vivencia subjetiva del tiempo y de su abolición o detención. Asimismo, exponemos cómo aborda el psicoanálisis la temporalidad tanto en Freud como en su epígono Lacan, sin dejar de mencionar el modo en el que explican la psicosis desde sus propios modelos teóricos. Todo esto con el fin de fundamentar una pregunta que nos resulta de suma importancia: ¿Es posible la experiencia de la pausa fuera de la ficción y la psicosis? Facultad de Filosofía y Humanidades.
