The text is presented as an essay guided by the interest or motivation to enrich the theoretical or methodological imagination to study current cultural phenomena from the definition, reflection and re-contextualization of this concept and of this author’s work. Fundamentally, it concentrates on the aspects in which this concept can serve to theorize sociocultural processes and changes and shed light and attention on a key dimension —that of feelings and affections— to understand the modalities in which contemporary transformations are experienced and embodied. The text also makes a brief critical journey through the theoretical and methodological challenges of this notion, and suggests some ideas about the paths that can be followed from it.       Resumen: El trabajo es una revisión y exploración de un concepto central de los estudios culturales, las “estructuras del sentir”, de uno de los autores principales de esta tradición, Raymond Williams. El texto se plantea como un ensayo guiado por el interés o la motivación de enriquecer la imaginación teórica o metodológica para estudiar los fenómenos culturales actuales a partir de la definición, la reflexión y la re-contextualización de este concepto y de la obra de este autor. Fundamentalmente, se concentra en los aspectos en que esta noción puede servir a la teorización de los procesos y cambios socioculturales y arrojar luz y atención sobre una dimensión clave—la de los sentimientos y los afectos— para entender las modalidades en que se experimentan y encarnan las transformaciones contemporáneas. El texto recapitula las críticas que ha recibido el concepto y sugiere algunas ideas acerca de los caminos que pueden seguirse a partir de él.     Facultad de Filosofía y Humanidades.
