El propósito de este artículo es desarrollar algunos conceptos clave para el estudio comparado de los actores populares argentinos y mexicanos dentro de lo que llamamos Modelo Revolucionario de Periodización. Se trata de pensar a los actores populares como productores (en oposición a lo que llamamos actores creadores) y de ponerlos en relación con dos categorías fundamentales, la “tierra” y la “mugre”, estrechamente ligadas a la detención y a una manera particular de concebir el tiempo.
