A cultural criticism of the imperative of happiness, published by Caja Negra in 2019. In spite of having been written in 2010, this text seems extremely current because of how it problematizes a notion that has a lot of press in neoliberalism as happiness, but shedding light on its disciplining force. From a feminist and queer perspective, this British-Australian academic puts this apparently noble sentiment at the centre of the issue, but it ends up working as a duty to be. En estas líneas hablaremos acerca del último libro de Sara Ahmed, La promesa de la felicidad. Una crítica cultural al imperativo de la alegría, editado por Caja Negra en 2019. A pesar de haber sido escrito en 2010, este texto suena sumamente actual por cómo problematiza una noción que tiene mucha prensa en el neoliberalismo como la felicidad, pero echando luz sobre su fuerza disciplinadora. Desde una perspectiva feminista y queer, esta académica británico-australiana pone en el centro de la cuestión este sentimiento tan noble en apariencia, pero que termina funcionando como un deber ser.
