Along these lines, this article analyzes the impact of the pandemic on Sino-Latin American ties, taking into account the (sometimes conflicting) interests of a country with the characteristics of China and those of Latin America, revealing how much progress can be made in the construction of a new governance from the global South. La posición de China como país en vías de desarrollo más importante del mundo, la colocan como líder de los países del Sur global que claman por un sistema internacional más justo y equilibrado. En esta línea, el presente artículo analiza el impacto de la pandemia en los vínculos sino-latinoamericanos, teniendo en cuenta los intereses (a veces contrapuestos) de un país con las características de China y los de América Latina, revelando cuanto se puede avanzar en la construcción de una nueva gobernanza desde el Sur global.
