Academic or student burnout arises from the presumption that students, specifically university students, like any professional, encounter pressures and overloads typical of academic work. Our objective is to analyze the prevalence of Burnout Syndrome in Engineering Students in Villa Mercedes San Luis systems and suggest solutions based on the affected dimensions. Cross-sectional study. The Atienza 2010 Occupational Burnout Scale was used. The scale has 42 items that investigate 4 dimensions: emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, lack of work fulfillment, guilt, scored on the Likert scale: 0 Never, 1 once a year, 2 once a month, 3 once a week, 4 several times a week, 5 every day. The result was divided into two ranges by the average, the method was factorial analysis and bivariate analysis. The respondents participated in a workshop on Burnout and within this framework, with prior consent, the scale was applied. The n = 145. The sample was Systems Engineering students from a University of Villa Mercedes San Luis that has a total of approximately 250 students. The prevalence of Burnout syndrome in students is 42%, with 35% moderate and 7% severe, 58% did not present burnout syndrome. The Burnout levels found are high, the application of the scale allows early detection of Burnout Syndrome and self-assessment, which allows working on the solution based on a personal and institutional proposal in various aspects according to the affected dimension.

The Burnout levels found are high, the application of the scale allows early detection of Burnout Syndrome and self-assessment, which allows working on the solution based on a personal and institutional proposal in various aspects according to the affected dimension. .
