El COVID largo es una patología multiorgánica con secuelas importantes que afectan la salud y bienestar de los sobrevivientes desde la bioenergética celular, en este caso, se abordó la importancia de considerar el equilibro acido-base dentro de los procesos de evaluación y tratamiento del COVID largo por parte de los profesionales de la salud y el deporte, dado a que, diferentes investigaciones han encontrado modificaciones importantes en la función mitocondrial que se traducen en fallas de la ventilación, esto provocando alteraciones de la compensación-descompensación del control respiratorio y renal del pH (acidosis y alcalosis metabólico-respiratorias). A COVID longa é uma patologia multiorgânica com sequelas importantes que afectam a saúde e o bem-estar dos sobreviventes a partir da bioenergética celular, neste caso, foi abordada a importância de considerar o equilíbrio ácido-base dentro dos processos de avaliação e tratamento da COVID longa por profissionais de saúde e desporto, dado que diferentes investigações encontraram modificações importantes na função mitocondrial que resultam em falhas de ventilação, provocando alterações na compensação-descompensação do controlo do pH respiratório e renal (acidose e alcalose metabólico-respiratória).
