Abstract:
Introduction: In contexts of poverty and social exclusion the domestic units deploy alimentary strategies that tend to diversify the sources of procurement of foods to cover situations of alimentary insecurity and sustain the daily existence.
Objective: Analyse the alimentary strategies applied to survive in homes wiht Universal Child Allowance of Neighbourhood Station Flores, Córdoba, year 2019.
Methods: Observational, descriptive, of transversal section study. The population (N=209) was constituted by the total of homes with UCA of Neighbourhood Station Flores. The probabilistic sample was of 136 homes (IC:95%). The data were collected by means of ad hoc designed questionnaire that it was subjected to pilot proof. Each participant awarded his consent informed and ws respected the principles of the statement of Helsinki. Was they analysed demographic factors (age, sex, educational level of the person considered main sustain of the home -MSH- and composition of the home); socioeconomic (occupational category of the MSH and labour market); as well as the alimentary strategies applied to survive. These last were grouped according to levels of relation of the of which resultwhich, following the posited by Susana Hintze (1989). To check the hypothesis, the alimentary strategies turned into dichotomous factors, considering as if when if it employed one or more particular strategies that compose to the global strategy. Later was it applied Chi-squared to evaluate the association between strategies and factors of interest to a level of confidence of 95%.
Results: All the homes Respondents wasapply some type of alimentary strategies. These strategies resulted of relations built, in greater proportion, with the state (100%) and the market (96%). It found statistical association between alimentary strategies of extreme type and single parent homes with feminine bosses (p<0,05), accepting the alternative hypothesis.
Conclusions: can assume that the State, by means of politics social, fulfils a key role in the alimentary access of homes that live in adverse socioeconomic conditions; more his actions result insufficient, by what these homes set up diverse circuits of satisfaction of needs to survive; being the single parent homes with feminine bosses the most affected |
