Sumario:Abstract:  Introduction: Medical professionals have an essential role as facilitators and promoters of healthy life styles. This is the reason why their eating habits, nutritional status, the importance given by them to indicators of nutritional eating health and the actions performed in their practices are relevant for public health. Objective: Determine the relationship existing between the attention given to nutritional eating health in the personal and professional dimensions of medical professionals from a teaching hospital, year 2019. Material and Methods: Study based on observation, crossed section with correlational descriptive approach. Universe: Doctors from Hospital Nacional de Clínicas from the College of Medical Sciences, National University of Córdoba dully authorized to attend the residents’ cafeteria who voluntarily accepted to participate under signature of consent, with no pregnancy or any other health situation that modified their eating pattern. The sample (n=78) was made up by 75.7% of the universe. Variables: Sociodemographic characteristics; Attention to nutritional eating health in the personal dimension: Adhesion to Food Guides for Argentine Population and Nutritional status, Attention to nutritional eating health in the professional dimension: importance given to nutritional eating health and actions in the professional practice. For the descriptive statistics, measures of frequency, main tendency and dispersion were performed and for inferential statistics, the Chi-square test was applied. Results: 58.9% of the professionals valued represented the female genre, an average age of 31.4 years old and 4.94 years on duty. From the level of adhesion to eating guides for the Argentine Population, a moderate tendency to pay attention to their own eating health was observed. The prevailing nutritional status as from the body-mass index was normal weight (52.4%). In the professional dimension, nutrition resulted the highest considered indicator, followed by body weight (83.3%). Within the professional practices that they recognize to perform due to the nutritional eating health of the people they treated, the prevailing practice was the referral to professionals in the field of nutrition or request of consulting another doctor. (76.9%). Conclusions: it was observed that the personal attention given to nutritional eating health was not associated with the professional attention given to it. The research shows the need to work on unhealthy eating habits and to foster the relationship between the professional teams of the medical areas and the nutrition areas
