Floristic studies always reveal new occurrences, increasing the geographic distribution of several species. The aim of this work is to increase the knowledge of the geographical distribution of fifteen species of bryophytes for the states of Amazonas, Goiás, Rio de Janeiro and Rio Grande do Sul. Thirty samples were analyzed and nine species of mosses (Bryophyta) and six species of hepatic (Marchantiophyta) were identified. Two species were identified as new occurrences for the state of Rio Grande do Sul, one for the state of Amazonas and one for the state of Goiás. Eleven species have their geographical distribution expanded, being cited for the second time to the states of Amazonas, Rio de Janeiro and Rio Grande do Sul, increasing the knowledge of the geographic distribution of these taxa. São conhecidas no Brasil aproximadamente 1.524 espécies de briófitas, distribuídas ao longo de todo o território nacional. Coletas e estudos florísticos sempre revelam novas ocorrências, ampliando a distribuição geográfica de diversas espécies. O objetivo deste trabalho é ampliar o conhecimento da distribuição geográfica de quinze espécies de briófitas para os estados do Amazonas, Goiás, Rio de Janeiro e Rio Grande do Sul. Foram analisadas 30 amostras e identificadas nove espécies de musgos (Bryophyta) e seis de hepáticas (Marchantiophyta). Destas, duas espécies foram identificadas como novas citações para o estado do Rio Grande do Sul, uma para o estado do Amazonas e uma para o estado de Goiás. Onze espécies tiverem sua área de ocorrencia ampliada, sendo citadas pela segunda vez para os estados do Amazonas, Rio de Janeiro e Rio Grande do Sul, ampliando o conhecimento da distribuição geográfica destes táxons.
