The author works on the conceptualization of havoc, based on the elaborations of Freud and Lacan, analyzing it as a consequence of the “outburst” and as a point that coincides with the failure of the countenance. He bases his writing on the basis of his clinical experience in which the repetition of the same element, in many cases, is present: the mother-daughter havoc. Wondering how this inhabits the transfer. He says that this issue appears as a difficulty in the analysis of women, linked to the difficulty of symbolizing female enjoyment. El presente artículo constituye una intervención especial de la psicoanalista Marie-Hélène Brousse. La autora trabaja sobre la conceptualización del estrago, partiendo de las elaboraciones de Freud y de Lacan, analizándolo como consecuencia del “arrebato” y como punto que coincide con el fracaso del semblante. Fundamenta su escrito a partir de su experiencia clínica en la cual la repetición de un mismo elemento, en numerosos casos, se hace presente: el estrago madre-hija. Se pregunta cómo este habita la transferencia. Refiere que esta cuestión aparece como una dificultad en el análisis de mujeres, vinculada a la dificultad de simbolizar el goce femenino.
