The commercialization of aromatic and medicinal plants is widespread in the province of Córdoba, with the exploitation of these herbs being more noticeable in the central and northwestern regions of the province. This rather indiscriminate use has a strong impact on these natural plant resources as it leads to both their extraction and the possible unrecoverable loss of germplasm as a consequence of genetic erosion. In addition, forest fires and real estate developments on native forest territory favor and accelerate such loss. The project aimed to revalue the native aromatic and medicinal plants in order to conserve them in their natural habitat, by rescuing knowledge about their uses in general and traditional medicine, promoting the sustainable management of these resources based on the progress made in the academic field, and encouraging sustainable business ventures and added value initiatives. To perform this task, workshops were held with primary and secondary school students and teachers from La Calera, Ciénaga del Coro and Tala Cañada. Joint and comprehensive work was carried out with them, coordinating and facilitating cooperation and teamwork activities among all participants. We consider that the results obtained are in line with the project objectives. A greater appreciation was shown, on the part of those taking part, for aromatic and medicinal plants, thanks to the work methodology used and the knowledge built in each workshop. En la provincia de Córdoba, se encuentra muy difundida la comercialización de plantas aromáticas y medicinales (PAM) y es en las serranías del centro y noroeste en donde adquiere mayor relevancia la explotación de estas hierbas. Esto implica un fuerte impacto sobre tales recursos vegetales naturales, tanto por su extracción, como por la posible pérdida irrecuperable de germoplasma como consecuencia de la erosión genética. Sumado a esto, la ocurrencia de incendios forestales y el avance de las ciudades hacia el monte nativo a causa de los desarrollos inmobiliarios favorecen y aceleran este proceso de pérdida. El proyecto tuvo como objetivo la revalorización de las PAM nativas con el fin de conservarlas en su hábitat natural, mediante el rescate de los saberes sobre sus usos en general y la medicina tradicional, promoviendo el manejo sustentable de estos recursos a partir de los avances alcanzados en el ámbito académico y fomentando los emprendimientos productivos sustentables y el agregado de valor. Para llevar a cabo esta tarea se realizaron talleres con alumnos y docentes de nivel primario y secundario de las localidades de La Calera, Ciénaga del Coro y Tala Cañada, trabajando en forma conjunta e integralmente, coordinando y facilitando actividades de cooperación y trabajo en equipo. Consideramos que los resultados obtenidos coinciden con los esperados de acuerdo a los objetivos planteados en el Proyecto, notando una mayor valoración de los destinatarios hacia las PAM, gracias a la metodología de trabajo empleada y al conocimiento construido en cada taller.
