description The aim of this paper is to make visible the different types of child mobility and the archaeological implications derived from the decisions involved in child rearing in hunter-gatherer groups in the Patagonian region. It is based on the articulation between ethnohistoric and ethnographic sources with different lines of evidence such as bioarchaeology and clinical studies. To this end, an exhaustive analysis of different primary documentary sources and ethnographic information from both the Patagonian region and other areas of the world was carried out. This allowed us to generate a diagram, with archaeological implications and expectations, of the different stages of mobility, carrying, cradle technologies (for move and permanence) and the activity of crawling, as a transfer practice during the first years of life. We consider that the elaboration of specific archaeological questions for the non-adult human segment allows for a more holistic understanding of their social organization, a fundamental aspect for the archaeological knowledge of hunter-gatherer groups.

En este trabajo se propone visibilizar los diferentes tipos de movilidad infantil y las implicancias arqueológicas derivadas de las decisiones involucradas en la crianza en grupos cazadores-recolectores de la región patagónica. El mismo se realizó a partir de la articulación entre fuentes etnohistóricas y etnográficas con diferentes líneas de evidencia tales como la bioarqueología y los estudios clínicos. Para ello, se elaboró un análisis exhaustivo de distintas fuentes documentales primarias e información etnográfica tanto de la región patagónica como de otras áreas del mundo. Esto permitió generar un esquema, con implicancias y expectativas arqueológicas, sobre las distintas instancias de movilidad, carga o porte, las tecnologías de cuna (para traslado y permanencia) y la actividad de gateo, como práctica de traslado durante los primeros años de vida. Consideramos que elaborar preguntas arqueológicas específicas para el segmento humano no-adulto permite comprender de manera más holística su organización social, aspecto fundamental para el conocimiento arqueológico de grupos cazadores-recolectores. Este artigo tem como objetivo tornar visíveis os diferentes tipos de mobilidade infantil e as implicações arqueológicas derivadas das decisões envolvidas na criação de crianças em grupos de caçadores-recolectores na região da Patagónia. Para isso, foram articuladas fontes etno-históricas e etnográficas com diferentes linhas de evidência, como a bioarqueologia e os estudos clínicos. Para o efeito, procedeu-se a uma análise exaustiva de diferentes fontes documentais primárias e de informação etnográfica, tanto da região patagónica como de outras zonas do mundo. Isto permitiu-nos gerar um esboço, com implicações e expectativas arqueológicas, das diferentes instâncias de mobilidade, transporte ou transporte, tecnologias de berço (para transferência e permanência) e a atividade de gatinhar, como prática de transferência durante os primeiros anos de vida. Consideramos que a elaboração de questões arqueológicas específicas para o segmento humano não adulto permite uma compreensão mais holística da sua organização social, aspeto fundamental para o conhecimento arqueológico dos grupos de caçadores-recolectores.
