| Sumario: | Probably the encounter between the local diaguita populations and the Incas had points of agreement and other disruptive ones. The relationships between entities through exchange and reciprocity mechanisms are an example of agreement; while the centralization of those mechanisms when diaguitas where incorporated to the Tawantisuyu represented a novelty and therefore, a conflictive point. In this article we will analyze, through the archaeobotanical study of an archaeological cooking context, how foods were prepared in political commensality meetings between humans and non-humans in Guitián square (Salta, Argentina). |
