A recurrent lexical repertoire is identified, systematically referring to opposition, battle, and death, using terms like guazabara, flechazos (arrow shots), and pelear (to fight). This selective textualization emphasizes conflict, delineating an aboriginal category contrasting with the hegemonic society. This discursive strategy was key to legitimizing the actions of the conquest and establishing an indigenous identity defined by resistance and otherness. El presente estudio analiza la construcción de la identidad aborigen en Córdoba a través de documentos coloniales, proponiendo que la alteridad se funda en la fijación de un "tema" o núcleo semántico específico. Se identifica un repertorio léxico recurrente que remite sistemáticamente a la oposición, la batalla y la muerte, utilizando términos como guazabara, flechazos y pelear. Esta textualización selectiva enfatiza la conflictividad, delimitando una categoría aborigen contrastante con la sociedad hegemónica. Se concluye que esta estrategia discursiva fue clave para legitimar las acciones de la conquista y establecer las bases de una identidad indígena definida por la resistencia y la otredad. Este estudo analisa a construção textual da identidade aborígene em Córdoba através de documentos coloniais, propondo que a alteridade se funda na fixação de um "tema" semântico específico. É identificado um repertório lexical recorrente que remete sistematicamente à oposição, batalha e morte, utilizando termos como guazabara, flechazos e pelear. Essa textualização seletiva enfatiza a conflitualidade, delimitando uma categoria aborígene contrastante com a sociedade hegemônica. Conclui-se que esta estratégia discursiva foi fundamental para legitimar as ações da conquista e estabelecer uma identidade indígena definida pela resistência e alteridade.
