Presentamos los resultados iniciales de prospección y excavación en Valle Fértil, provincia de San Juan. Proponemos desde una perspectiva espacial un esquema de ocupación para sociedades que definimos como formativas. En ese sentido planteamos un aprovechamiento ecológico que se traduce en estrategias de grupos con economía mixta. A partir del análisis cerámico identificamos la presencia de dos componentes alfareros para los tiempos previos a la conquista española. Centro de Estudios Históricos.
